Our line of air-powered 3M™ Disc Sander, Pistol Grip tools are designed with operator comfort in mind and run any 3M™ Roloc™ product 3" or less with an RPM rating of at least 15,000. They are ideal for intermittent use on non-production spot sanding and finishing applications as well as paint prep and weld burn clean-up, and the pistol grip and 97 degree head provides improved operator comfort. 3M™ Disc Sander, Pistol Grip 28547 was designed with operator comfort in mind and runs any 3M™ Roloc™ Product that is 3 inches or less with an RPM rating of at least 15,000. It is ideal for intermittent use on non-production spot sanding and finishing applications as well as paint prep and weld burn clean-up, and the pistol grip and 97 degree head allow for greater operator comfort during use. To increase operator precision and help eliminate rework, the tool features a variable speed control with variable speed trigger. This light-weight tool includes a comfortable full coverage composite grip that absorbs vibration and moderates cold temperatures caused by air flow. In addition, the 0.45 hp motor is precision balanced to ensure smoother and quieter operation. This versatile tool provides dual mount capability that allows the user to switch between the direct mount, which provides greater visibility and maximum control, and the collet mount, which extends the reach of the tool when required for sanding hard-to-reach areas. The collet mount also provides compatibility with a wide range of abrasive products. Included with the tool is a ¼ inch 3M™ Roloc™ Shank for use with the collet assembly, PN45102. Also included is a 3 inch 3M™ Roloc™ TR Hard Disc Pad, PN45091, which attaches to the 1/4-20 in external, threaded shaft and provides convenient and secure attachment for any Roloc disc or bristle product with a TR button. The necessary air power supply and hose are not included.
